A little about Danville

Located within Contra Costa County, just south of Mt. Diablo State Park, Danville, California, is home to more than 40,000 residents. It is in the San Ramon Valley, and its main street is Hartz Avenue in the downtown area. The city is home to the headquarters of Advanta Energy Corp. It is home to seven elementary, three middle schools and two high schools: Monte Vista High School and San Ramon Valley High School. Also here is Athenian School, a college preparatory school for grades 6-12. The locals operate a farmers market on Saturdays where locally grown produce, meat and more can be purchased. The Iron Horse Regional Trail runs through Danville, and the nearest hospital is just three miles away in Concord.

Diablo Country Club and Crow Canyon Country Club provide golfers an outlet, while thespian enthusiasts can enjoy performances at The Village Theater. Events like the Danville International Children's Film Festival, the Devil Mountain 5K/10K run, Hot Summer Nights classic cars and music fest, The Fall Arts Festival and a Fourth of July parade are held throughout the year. Historical attractions include the Eugene O'Neill National Historic Site - Tao House, the Museum of the San Ramon Valley and the Blackhawk Automotive Museum. The town sponsors music and movies in the parks during the summers.
